Secure a Stake account after purchase
A delivered account becomes exclusively yours the moment you change both passwords. Do these steps in order, before your first deposit.
Step 1, change the email password first
The inbox controls everything, because password resets land there. Log in to the email address included with your order and set a new password that you have never used elsewhere. Only after this is done does changing the Stake password mean anything.
Step 2, change the Stake password
Sign in to Stake with the delivered credentials and update the password in your account settings. Use a password manager rather than a variation of an old password. If Stake asks to confirm the change by email, you already control that inbox from step one.
Step 3, enable two-factor authentication
Turn on 2FA in Stake's security settings with an authenticator app, and store the recovery codes somewhere offline. This is the single strongest protection on the account, and it means a leaked password alone is not enough to sign in.
Step 4, review sessions and connected devices
Sign out of all other sessions from the security settings so no earlier device keeps access. Then check that the email address on the account is the one you now control, and that no forwarding rules exist in the inbox.
What we do on our side
Once an account is sold it is removed from stock and we never log back into it. Delivery is automated, so the credentials go from stock to your email without a human step in between. If a login ever fails, contact us on Telegram with the order reference and we replace it.
Before your first deposit
Set a deposit limit you are comfortable with and confirm the verification level matches your plans, using the KYC levels guide. Full details on delivery, replacements and payments are in the FAQ.
