Stake KYC verification levels explained
Verification on Stake is tiered. Each level adds documents and raises the amount you can move without a fresh review. Here is what each stage actually covers.
The four levels at a glance
| Level | Documents | What it changes |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | Email address and basic profile details | Account exists, but higher withdrawals will be held for review |
| Level 2 | Phone number plus a government ID document | Comfortable for everyday deposits and normal withdrawals |
| Level 3 | Level 2 plus proof of address, for example a utility bill or bank statement | Higher withdrawal ceilings without new document requests |
| Level 4 | Level 3 plus proof of funds, such as payslips or trading statements | The highest limits, intended for high volume play |
Exact thresholds vary by region and can be adjusted at any time, so treat the levels as a ranking of freedom rather than a fixed number.
Why the level matters more than the price
A cheap account that stalls at your first large withdrawal costs you time and momentum. Picking one level above your usual play means a good run never runs into a document request. That is the practical reason level 3 and level 4 accounts are priced higher: the slow part of verification is already finished.
Can you upgrade a level later?
Yes, but you submit your own documents to Stake and wait in the normal review queue, which can take days. Since the account details are yours after purchase, an upgrade is always possible, it just reintroduces the delay you avoided by buying pre-verified.
Which one should you buy?
Choose level 2 for casual play, level 3 if you plan withdrawals in the thousands, and level 4 if you play at high volume. Compare the current stock and pricing on the shop page, or read how the buying flow works.
